Byars Gets the Best Hand to Fold
Level 18
: Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Action was opened by Sean Byars in middle position to 20,000. Action then folded to a player in late position who three-bet to 45,000. The button flat called and action was back on Byars. He took his time but eventually landed on a four-bet jam to about 255,000. The player in late position shook his head and accidentally flashed pocket 10s as he folded. The button player then surprisingly put in the chips for a call.
Sean Byars: A?A?
Button: Q?Q?
The 3?10?10? flop was gut wrenching for the three-bettor who folded as he would have hit quads. The 9? turn and 9? river sealed the deal and Byars scooped a big pot after getting what would have been the best hand to fold preflop.
