"dankecomwieder" Puts On A Clinic to Take Down 2023 USCOOP Event #15: $500 High Roller No-Limit Hold'em 6-Max Title

When play began in Event #15: $500 High Roller No-Limit Hold'em 6-Max Championship of the 2023 US Championship of Online Poker (USCOOP) at PokerStarsNJ.com, only 32 players had taken their seats, but by the time the dust settled, "dankecomwieder" had navigated their way through a 199-entry field to take home the title and the $18,087.97 first-place prize!

With a late East Coast start time of 7 p.m., the event played well into the night and even into the early hours of the next morning, but if fatigue was setting in the players at the final table, "dankecomwieder" hid it well as they continued taking down pot after pot with well-timed aggression throughout the night.

Final Table Action

When the final table of seven was reached, "dankecomwieder" was second to last in chips but never allowed that fact to hinder their ability to make the correct play. Once "robgetsthere" was sent home in seventh place, "dankecomwieder" would find themselves at the very bottom of the counts before stealthily navigating their way through other five remaining players.

"dankecomwieder" was so stealthy, in fact, that the only player they busted en route to victory was their heads-up opponent to close the event out after reaching an agreement on an event chop that left $2,000 for the eventual champion.

With six left, "coldandwarm" got all in against the kings of "JordanTravis13" and couldn't find the help they needed to survive in a hand that gave "JordanTravis13" an overwhelming chip lead. That lead would soon be diminished, though, after running their queens into the aces of "dankecomwieder" to bring the top two stacks to near dead even levels.

After that, "senor stinks" would go on to bust in fifth place after being left unimproved in a classic flip situation. Not long after, "JordanTravis13" would shove a short stack from the small blind only to get called and bust in fourth place, having never recovered from doubling "dankecomwieder" up just a two levels prior.

"TTV JThrizz" would fall in third place only a few hands later after losing a flip to "Dublistic" and setting the stage for a heads up battle before both "dankecomwieder" and "Dublistic" opted to pause the clock to discuss a deal.

With "Dublistic" having almost exactly 6,000,000 chips in stack and "dankecomwieder" holding almost exactly 4,000,000 chips, the two quickly agreeds to a dead even split with both locking up a $16,087.97 score and leaving an additional $2,000 to go to the eventual champion.

Although "Dublistic" started with a 3:2 chip lead, "dankecomwieder" would flip that ratio on it's head after a massive preflop confrontation that saw no flop get spread. Shortly thereafter, the final two players would get all the money in preflop with both players holding an ace. When the final card was dealt, "dankecomwieder" still held the best hand and secured the title and the additional $2,000 for a total cash of $18,087.97 to go along with his first-place victory!
