The US Championship of Online Poker (USCOOP) over at PokerStarsNJ.com has been rolling strong and steady for the past two weeks and today is no different as the second biggest buy-in of the series looks to bring the site's top talent out to the online felt.
When play gets underway in Event #49: $1,000 No-Limit Hold'em PKO High Roller Championship, expect action to be fast and furious as the PKO (Progressive Knockout) tournament type breeds action with growing bounties throughout the event and an increased incentive to chase those bounties as they grow larger and larger with each elimination.
Another interesting variable about this tournament variant is that the player who eventually becomes the champion of the event will not only collect the entire bounty of their final opponent, but their own entire remaining bounty as well. This incentivizes going after chips and makes for a very action-packed dynamic as the difference between first-place and second-place will be much larger than in any other style of tournament. Along with creating a lot of incentive for action, this event promises to bring out the very best strategic minds for the game as well.
The tournament will kick off action at 7:00 p.m. EST with a starting stack of 50,000 and levels lasting 12 minutes. Play will begin with blinds of 125/250 and an ante of 30 with a 5-minute break taking place at :55 of the hour, every hour. There will be no waiting to determine a winner as the event will crown a champion tonight!
If action is your thing then keep it locked to PokerNews where you'll get live updates on this and every major event remaining on the 2023 USCOOP schedule!
