Audrius "Stakelis24" Stakelis Leads what Will Be a Super Wednesday for Someone

Super Tuesday SE Will Be a Super Wednesday for Someone
Super Tuesday SE Will Be a Super Wednesday for Someone

WCOOP 14-M: $1,050 NLHE [8-Max, Super Tuesday SE] is into the final stages now as the start of Day 2 looms. A total of 81 players, from the original field of 1,071, made it through the Day 1 action with chips remaining, and they will return today at 13:05 ET to finish it out and find out who takes home the title and the top prize of close to $175,000.

They played down to the money just before the end of Day 1, and things went quickly from there. The bubble burst in the penultimate level, and within the next 30 minutes, another 46 players fell to the sidelines before they bagged and tagged for the day.

Day 1 got underway an hour late after some technical issues paused the action. They still managed to get a full seven and three quarters hours of play in, and when it was all over, Lithuanian player Audrius "Stakelis24" Stakelis ended with the biggest stack to start Day 2.

He is one of five players to bring more than 3 million chips to Day 2, and he was joined in the top ten by fellow Lithuanian Matas "NoTilit" Cikinas. But it was Brazil that showed the best Day 1 performance, making up fully half of the top ten chip counts, and well represented throughout the rest of the counts.

The final table today has more than half the $1.071 million prize pool on it, and most of that money is still yet to be handed out today as the action plays down. They won't finish the day until someone has all the chips, and the WCOOP title. Action begins with a few minutes left in Level 21, with blinds at 15,000/30,000 and an ante of 3,750.
