Eisenberg Bluff Goes Wrong

A player limped from early position and Lara Eisenberg raised to 3,500 on the button. The blinds got out of the way to send the action back to the limper who made the call.

The early position player checked to Eisenberg following the flop and then called her continuation of 2,500.

Both players checked through the turn to see the river at which point the early position player continued his passive line by checking for a third time. Eisenberg pondered for a moment before firing off 8,000. Her opponent quickly called and Eisenberg could only show for a failed bluff while the early position player collected the pot holding .
