Boston Rob's Attempt at Heroism
"Go easy on me," Rob Mariano, who's better known as Boston Rob, as he looked over at your reporter on the scene.
The scene was as following, with on the table and a few thousand chips in the middle.
Mariano was facing a bet of 1,700 from Deb Swift, who smiled as she looked over at her opponent.
"Is it still my turn?" Mariano said after a while, getting the other players at the table to laugh.
"The anticipation is too high now," Mariano smiled after a while, as he was still pulling his arm back every time he got close to throwing out the chips for the call.
Eventually Mariano did call, and Swift showed for a pair of fours.
"This is what I called her with," Mariano sighed, tabling for bottom pair.
"I went to the seminar this morning, and I should've raised!"
"Like Jason says, 'If you think about folding; call. If you think about calling; raise.'" Mariano continued.
Mariano lost a bit of chips on this hand, but he still has about 16,000 to work with while Swift is sitting on around 22,000.
