Welcome to Run It Up Reno $125 Six-Max Five-Card PLO
One pot-limit Omaha event has already been completed here at Run It Up Reno, and it's time for a supercharged version of the famously wild poker variant. The $125 Six-Max Five-Card PLO event is set to kick off at 6 p.m. local time here at Peppermill.
While the traditional four-card version of PLO creates plenty of action, the five-card version creates even more possibilities. "Big O" is gaining steam across the world as a cash game, but today's event will not be high-low split like Big O.
The event here at RIUR will see players start with 10,000 in starting chips and blinds at 25/50. Reentries are allowed for the first nine levels and blinds will be 20 minutes apiece with 30-minute final table levels.
Last year, tournament host Jason Somerville himself took down the five-card PLO event, besting a field of 116 runners to take down $3,828. We'll see if he can repeat the feat today.
