Good Start Goes Bad For Pekarek
Level 4
: 200/400, 400 ante
$235 Progressive Knockout champ John-Paul Portal raised to 1,200 from the hijack, and was called by the cutoff. The small blind three-bet to 4,500, and $1,100 Thursday Thrilla runner-up Jeremy Pekarek called in the big blind. Portal four-bet shoved for around 35,000, and the cutoff quickly folded, as did the small blind.
"I had a really good start to my day," Pekarek said with a shrug, before calling off his last 25,000.

Pekarek's gamble looked like it would pay big dividends after the flop gave him an open-ender to go with his live cards. He bricked off on the turn and river, however, and he said, "Too many outs? Too many outs." before heading to the cashier to re-enter.
