Day 1c of The Run Good Poker Series Coconut Creek $1,100 Main Event Starts Soon
Today sees the start of the final flight for Event #6: $1,100 No-Limit Hold’em at Seminole Casino Coconut Creek. 161 entrants found their way to register on Day 1b, smashing the initial $200,000 guarantee and putting over $300,000 in the prizepool with this final flight shaping up to add another healthy amount of entrants to this growing prize pool.
Yesterday saw Kevin Blewitt take home the overall tournament lead at 451,500 with PokerGo commentator Jeff Platt sitting right behind him with 431,500. Other players from yesterday's flight that found a bag included; bracelet winners Phillip Hui(170,500), Howard Mash(135,500), Matt Waxman(53,000), poker commentator Jamie Kerstetter(139,000), and last year’s runner up finisher Timothy “T.K” Miles(191,000). Any players who bagged on Day 1a or 1b but wish to play another flight can do so as the tournament is structured in best bag format, meaning that the player will only be able to play their best bag between however many flights they play.
Players who were not as fortunate include Ariel Mantel, Jacquelyn Scott, Mike Beasley andJake Schwartz. Defending champion Raminder Singh saw his hopes dashed on the last hand of the night when his pair and flush draw combination could not improve against the top pair of Michael Wetcher(155,000). All of these players will have one final shot to make Day 2 and it will be during this flight.
Players will start out with 30,000 in chips with blinds starting at 100-100. The first 8 levels of the day will be 30 minutes long with the remaining levels of the tournament switching to 40 minutes. There is a 15-minute break after levels 4 and 8 and after that there is a break every three levels. Players who survive through the day will reconvene on Sunday at 12 pm where they will play until a winner. The players who do not make it through today will have an opportunity to try once more in flight 1c on Saturday.
