Two Flight Day in RunGood Poker Series Reno Main Event Starts at 11 a.m.
The RunGood Poker Series has made it��s way to Reno, NV for the first time this week for the inaugural RunGood Poker Series Checkpoint at Atlantis Casino. The action has been flying all week long and building up to the $600 RunGood Series Checkpoint Main Event which started yesterday with Day 1a and continues on with Day 1bc today.
The Main Event has three starting flights. Day 1a was played yesterday and gathered 112 entries and ended with 14 players remaining. Day 1b will start at 11 a.m. and Day 1c will get underway at 6 p.m.
Dwight Englekirk took the Day 1a chip lead as he bagged 433,000 after yesterday's action. Three other players reached the 400,000 chip threshold which will be the aim for players looking to bag big for Day 2.
The $600 buy-in will give each player a 30,000 starting stack. Levels are 30 minutes on Day 1 and registration will remain open until the start of Level 9. There will be 15-minute breaks every four levels of play. Day 1 will finish once 12.5% of the field is reached, which is where all the surviving players will be in the money and advance on to Day 2 which will be on Sunday May 7 at 12 noon.
A bevy of familiar names are expected to play today as well as some up and coming players who will be willing to throw their hat into the ring for the $600 entry fee.
