The First Flight of The RGPS Jamul $600 Main Event Kicks Off Today At 6 PM
The RunGood Poker Series Checkpoint sees its second series of the season take place at Jamul Casino in San Diego, California. The seventh event of this series sees the biggest buy-in at $600 with the biggest prize pool guarantee at $150,000 and will crown a new main event champion. On top of the ring and prize money, the player will win a free seat to the tournament at the end of the year in Thunder Valley, with the opportunity to win a seat to the PokerGO end of year freeroll.
Last year saw Nova Baghdasarian make a heads up deal with Rich Alsup to take home his first RGPS ring and biggest lifetime score of $40,950. That iteration of the event saw 460 entries come out for their chance for RGPS glory and time will soon tell of how many will throw their hat in the ring this time around.

Baghdasarian will have his chance to defend his title, but a stacked field awaits him that is likely to include players like Lexy Gavin-Mather, Johnnie ��Vibes�� Moreno, Garry Gates, Kevin Meyers, and Tavish Margers.
Players will begin the tournament with 30,000 in chips with blinds beginning at 100/200 with a 200 big blind ante. Levels will last 30 minutes, with a 15-minute break occurring after every four levels. Registration will remain open until the beginning of Level 9, after which the players will play until there is only 12.5% of the field remaining. The surviving players will guarantee themselves a minimum cash and advance onto Day 2 where levels will be upped to 40-minute levels. Those who do not find a bag on this flight, will have ample opportunity tomorrow to fire again. This tournament is unlimited re-entry and players who bag multiple times will see their smaller stack taken out of play for a minimum cash, while their bigger stack will remain in play.
