A group of four led each of their respective flights, and each have come into the day bearing a top ten stack. WSOP Bracelet winner David Prociak (497,000) bagged the most on Day 1a, with St. Louis regular Keith Heine (463,000) taking the lead of Day 1b the next day. Day 1c saw RGPS regular Dan Hamm (700,000) rise to the top of his flight, and just a few hours later Scotter ��Captain Jack�� Clark (1,020,000) took the overall tournament lead. Each one of these players are in the hunt for their first RGPS gold ring.
The leaders of the flights have a stacked field of players left to compete with. Players like Mark Lafata (437,000), Craig Welko (431,000), John Fagg (311,000), Angela Jordison (302,000), Tim Garles (278,000), and WSOP bracelet winners Jason Simon (368,000) and Grant Hinkle (59,000) remain in the hunt as hungry as ever to add another title to their illustrious resumes.
Play ended with 22:47 left in Level 13 in Day 1a with blinds at 3,000/5,000 with a 5,000 big blind ante. 83 players will come back tomorrow at 12:00 with 40-minute blinds, a ten minute break after every three levels, and a dinner break for when the players reach the final table.
