177 players came out to play the opening flight of The RunGood Poker Series $600 Main Event at Horseshoe Casino and Hotel in Tunica, Mississippi. Each player was looking for a piece of the $200,000 guarantee set on the prize pool, but as the dust settled and Friday night became Saturday morning, only 22 made it to bagging. Each of the 22 is secured a spot to return to play on Sunday, November 12th with a min-cash TBD.

Leading the way is Truman Weatherly who managed to bag up an impressive 723,000 after scooping several huge pots throughout the day. Bagging up second in chips with 644,000 is Cory Smith who caught fire late in the day after scoring a massive double-up with kings versus the queens of Mark Davis. Coming in third is Marcus Webb who secured 454,000 chips into his bag after coasting as a big stack for most of the evening. This is Webbs first documented RunGood cash and he his looking to start off with a bang as he rounds out Day 1as top three.

It is also worth mentioning that defending champ Loi Hoang also found a bag with 78,000 which means he is still in the running for a title defense, although he has a tough road ahead of him. RGPS regular Walker Miskelly also managed to bag up 138,000 after max-late-regging during the break.

Unfortunately, none of the RunGood Ambassadors were able to make it across the finish line tonight as Bart Bogard was the last to exit only 2 spots away from bagging. It's a good thing that RunGood doesn't choose the faint-of-heart as its ambassadors, as they will all be out in full force tomorrow to secure a Day 2 spot, firing until the bitter end. RGPS POY frontrunner Brian Winter also failed to find a bag tonight but has vowed to return tomorrow for a chance to solidify his standings on the leaderboards.

Play ended with 12:16 left in Level 14, with blinds at 3,000/6,000 and a 6,000 big blind ante. The 22 players from this flight will return at noon this Sunday to combine with the other flights of the tournament. They will return to this level unless one of the following flights ends earlier than this.
