Kings Good for Diaz
On a flop of 2?9?8?, Laura McNeese led for 2,200 after a check from one player but was then raised to 6,000 by David Diaz on the button. The player in between them quickly got out of the way but McNeese made the call to see the 2? peel on the turn.
McNeese then decided to lead again, this time for 5,700, and Diaz just called.
The river fell the 3? and McNeese fired again for 12,000, sending Diaz into the tank. After a few seconds, he shook his head and set out a stack to call and flipped over K?K? for a big two-pair. McNeese (and the rest of the table) looked surprised at his strong holding and she quickly mucked to award him the pot.
"Sorry! Wasn't trying to slow-roll you!" Diaz apologized.
"No, no, you're good! Good call!" McNeese assured him as he stacked his new chips.
