The 2024 World Series of Poker (WSOP) may have just concluded, but the PokerNews live updates will continue to roll in in the form of the second annual $600 buy-in, $500,000 GTD The Hendon Mob Mid-Major Championship ! Just like last year, this exciting event will kick off today at 10 a.m. at Thunder Valley Casino Resort just north of Sacramento, California.
The tournament is in partnership with three-time Best Mid-Major Poker Tour, the RunGood Poker Series (RGPS), which is currently hosting their final stop of the Destination season at Thunder Valley. Leading this group is the official RGPS POY Brian Winter, who was awarded this title a few weeks ago and will be presented with his very own banner that will travel around with RunGood throughout the following year.
As for today's tournament, last year, it was Jagdeep Bal who topped a field of 1,605 entries to take the first-place prize of $71,036 after an astounding 8-way final table ICM chop.
