David Albertson Wins Event #1: $250 Super Stack NLH (Re-Entry)
While our live updates this weekend are focused on the $600 Main Event, this tournament is actually the culmination of a week's worth of tournaments.
It all started earlier in the week with Event #1: $250 Super Stack NLH (Re-Entry), a tournament that easily surpassed its $25,000 guarantee as 376 runners generated a $77,080 prize pool. The top 49 players got paid a minimum of $366 and some of those walking away with a cash were Joe Duchman (10th - $1,341), Isolda White (20th - $771), and Scott Baumstein (26th - $540), just to name a few.
After Mark Cannon exited in third place for $7,194, the final two players ended the tournament with an even chop. Lisa Teebagy finished as runner-up while David Alberston, who had the chip lead, claimed the title and RGPS championship ring.
