A Pair of Late Arrivals
Two big names have recently registered for the tournament, and both are champions in different fields. Phillip Hui was first to jump in, and Hui's poker accomplishments include two WSOP Gold Bracelets, the most recent of which was the 2019 WSOP Event #58: $50,000 Poker Player's Championship, where he earned a seven-figure payday of $1,099,311 for his victory.
Also in the field is "Boston" Rob Mariano, who according to his personal website, is the first and only six time participant on the hit CBS show, Survivor, and he won the title of “Sole Survivor” on the show’s 22nd season “Survivor: Redemption Island”. He’s also appeared twice on The Amazing Race, along with his wife Amber, winner of “Survivor: All-Stars” (2004).
The two players add to an already packed field of over 250 players, with 90 minutes left to go in the registration period.
