"Carlos levin" Cracks Kings; Abreu Knocks Out "gabriel7af"

Level 26 : 25,000/50,000, 6,000 ante

Heading into the showdown for a 1.3 million chip pot after the break, "Carlos levis" only had 19.9% equity as his {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} were trailing the {k-Spades}{k-Clubs} of "souramaliki". Nothing changed on the {q-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{3-Hearts} flop but "Carlos levis" struck gold on the {8-Clubs} turn and the {3-Diamonds} river further improved his hand to a full house.

Jorge "jorginho88" Abreu then clashed twice with "gabriel7af" and claimed the entire stack of his opponent. First, he defended the big blind against a min-raise to 100,000 and check-called a bet of 92,070 on the {a-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{4-Clubs} flop before bet-jamming the {2-Spades} turn. "gabriel7af" invested 400,000 with 591,704 behind and folded to a shove.

Abreu pushed the small blind one hand later for an effective 11 big blinds and his {5-Diamonds}{4-Spades} hit versus {a-Clubs}{3-Hearts} on a {j-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{2-Spades}{5-Clubs} board.

Break With 53 Remaining

Level 26 : 25,000/50,000, 6,000 ante
sousinha23 eliminated
sousinha23 eliminated

Another three players busted in quick succession and that left 53 hopefuls in contention after 55 minutes of poker action on Day 2.

"bukharkov777" was among those to bust, along with "AA DOCTOR". The Austrian held {q-Diamonds}{q-Spades} and "lopan83" had him covered with {a-Spades}{j-Hearts}. The {6-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{4-Spades}{9-Hearts}{a-Diamonds} board delivered another episode of the magic ace on the river to reduce the field by one.

"Mikensonas" opened to 84,000 in the cutoff and was called by Rui "sousinha23" Sousa in the big blind. The flop brought {q-Clubs}{5-Spades}{4-Hearts} and Sousa check-called a bet of 75,240 to see the {j-Spades} turn. Facing a second barrel, Sousa check-shoved with {k-Spades}{10-Clubs} for an open-ender and Mikensonas turned over the {q-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} for two pair.
The {q-Spades} on the river gave "Mikensonas" a full house for good measure and a few minutes later the first break of the day kicked off.

New Big Stacks Emerge

Level 25 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante
RUNITSRANN runs into aces
RUNITSRANN runs into aces

"Carlos levis" called a raise 80,000 by "RUNITSRANN" and "Mikensonas" three-bet to 320,000. "RUNITSRANN" shipped it in for more than 900k in total and "Carlos levis" then reshoved to force out "Mikensonas".

"RUNITSRANN" picked the wrong time to shove with the {a-Spades}{k-Spades} as he ran right away into the {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds} of "Carlos levis" and ended up drawing dead on the {8-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{q-Clubs}{q-Hearts} board.

An even bigger stack currently belongs to "Kungfumonk" who earned a near 3 million chip pot in a flip with "LFmagic". The {a-Diamonds}{j-Spades} trailed versus {8-Hearts}{8-Clubs} on the {10-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{3-Clubs} flop and the {6-Spades} turn but the {a-Spades} on the river gave "Kungfumonk top pair.

"aabas" Flops Set; Busts to "necgaidziai"

Level 25 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

"Nextlevelftp" was all but on the rail when he got it in out of th small blind with the {a-Clubs}{j-Spades} and saw "copag holdem" look him up with the {k-Clubs}{k-Spades}.

However, the magical ace on the river of a {9-Spades}{7-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{a-Spades} board kept him in contention.

Others were not as fortunate as the field has already dropped below 60 remaining contenders.

Among those to bust was also "aabas" who had an above-average stack. He faced a raise to 80,000 by "mandan1979 and called in the hijack. "necgaidziai" three-bet to 340,000 in the cutoff and was called both ways to create a 1.1 million chip pot.

The {j-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{2-Hearts} flop was checked to "necgaidziai" and he bet 391,200, which forced a fold from "mandan1979" and led to the shove of "aabas" for nearly 2.1 million. "necgaidziai" called with aces and faced a set of deuces. Instead of finding an ace, the Lithuanian hit running jacks for a superior full house and claimed the top spot.

"Kungfumonk" Among the Big Stacks

Level 24 : 17,500/35,000, 4,500 ante

"nemce" with the {k-Hearts}{j-Hearts} and "mandan1979" with {k-Spades}{j-Spades} seemed poised to chop it up but the {a-Hearts}{q-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{6-Spades} runout gave the chip leader after Day 1 a runner runner flush.

One hand later on the same table, "necgaidziai" knocked out "sax970" and continued his early rise as {k-Hearts}{j-Hearts} prevailed against {a-Spades}{9-Hearts}. The Lithuanian turned a flushdraw and rivered a pair on {10-Hearts}{6-Spades}{2-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}.

The biggest pot of the day so far then played out between "Livewhale" and "Kungfumonk". It was one of those classic flips as {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds} for "Livewhale" found no help against {j-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} on the {8-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{9-Spades} board.

By then, there was another short stack at the same table in "thx4urm0n3y", who busted three hands later with {q-Clubs}{j-Spades} against the {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} of "11plus11112", the board came {k-Hearts}{7-Spades}{2-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} and the table broke right after that.

More Early Casualties

Level 24 : 17,500/35,000, 4,500 ante

Rui "sousinha23" Sousa started the day above average and added a bounty to his resume for the day when his {a-Spades}{q-Spades} met with Francisco "paulwiter" Garcia's {q-Diamonds}{4-Spades}. The short stack stood no chance on a {a-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{5-Clubs} runout.

"Clabbenyman" has started well into the day with a double elimination as he knocked out "gusmaa" and "TimKnowsNHs". You can see the showdown below:

"bacooo" ran out of his after he pushed his short stack with the {a-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}. He was called two ways and "PaGaOVelhinho" ended up flopping the nut flush with {a-Spades}{2-Spades} on a board of {k-Spades}{10-Spades}{9-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}.

Fewer Than 80 Players Remain

Level 24 : 17,500/35,000, 4,500 ante

"edudrake1987" departed in a three-way all-in as his {3-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} was ahead preflop against the overcards of "Lassiole" (Ad5d]) and gusmaa ({k-Spades}{j-Hearts}) only for the {j-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{4-Spades} board to award the bounty to Lassiole and leave gusmaa shot. H would bow our shortly after.

"serioga112" put his hopes on {a-Spades}{q-Clubs} and "aDrENalin710" called with the {k-Diamonds}{j-Spades}. The {10-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{j-Clubs} board improved "aDrENalin710" to the nuts on the turn.

"aDrENalin710" then took a flip with {9-Spades}{9-Hearts} against the {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} of "caipsa" and the board came {j-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}.

In the last hand before the blinds went up, "B0nChance" got it in with {6-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} and was called by "pudelpower" with the {7-Spades}{7-Clubs}. The {a-Clubs}{a-Spades}{9-Clubs}{q-Spades}{8-Hearts} board provided additional chop outs but eventually no help at all for "B0nChance".
