Day 2 Completed
Steve "Mr. Tim Caum" O'Dwyer added to a strong PokerStars Spring Championship of Online Poker run with his second title in less than a week.
This time, O'Dwyer shipped SCOOP-79-H: $10,300 NLHE [8-Max, High Roller], $1M Gtd, getting through a small field of 105 entries to bank $241,956. Previously, he'd grabbed one of the bigger prizes of the series by taking the $25K High Roller for $521,598.
The white-hot Connor "blanconegro" Drinan had a bid for an unprecedented sixth SCOOP title in a single series — his five is already a record — end with a seventh-place finish when he bluffed off most of his chips.

8 | Linus "LLinusLLove" Loeliger | Austria | $38,048 |
9 | Simon "simon1471" Higgins | U.K. | $31,822 |
O'Dwyer made the final table with the second-place stack, trailing only start-of-day leader Juan "Malaka$tyle" Pardo, after he busted high-stakes cash reg Luke "Bit2Easy" Reeves with kings over ace-queen.
Fortune continued smiling upon O'Dwyer when another cash beast, Linus "LLinusLLove" Loeliger opted to limp in and O'Dwyer was able to flop a boat for cheap out of the small blind with seven-four suited. He played it slow and got a check-raise paid on the river to vie with Pardo for the lead.
After Loeliger went down in eighth, Drinan bluffed off his stack with a missed gutter, overbetting the river and failing to get through against Pedro "PaDiLhA SP" Padilha.
O'Dwyer finished him off with aces and then another big pocket pair, this time kings again, paid off when Jorryt "TheCleaner11" van Hoof flatted a raise and then shoved over O'Dwyer's squeeze with ace-queen. O'Dwyer had 40% of the chips five-handed.
However, a chance to have more than half of the chips three-handed went by the wayside when Pascal "Pass_72" Lefrancois was able to crack O'Dwyer's pocket nines with pocket sevens. A perfectly laid trap looked to have paid off until a seven flopped, and it was back to the grind for O'Dwyer with a below-average stack.
Fortunately for O'Dwyer, he chipped up some while Pardo scored the next two eliminations, and the two high-stakes tournament regs each had a familiar foe heads up. While O'Dwyer started down more than 2-to-1, the match was fairly one-sided in his favor as he had the lead after about half an hour.
With his stack slipping, Pardo opted to go for a large bluff on a highly coordinated board, but O'Dwyer nailed a flush on the river and bet-called for stacks to secure the win for his second title of the series.
Juan "Malaka$tyle" Pardo opened for 398,400 on the button and Steve "Mr. Tim Caum" O'Dwyer defended the big blind. They checked to the turn on and O'Dwyer bet 209,200. Pardo raised to 800,000 and O'Dwyer called, bringing an .
O'Dwyer led out 1,948,800. Pardo shoved for 5,934,119 and O'Dwyer quickly called with for a flush. Pardo showed for a bluff and the tournament ended with O'Dwyer's call.

Last night (May 19), poker on Twitch cemented itself as one of the most nail-biting, hair-raising, even tear-jerking forms of live entertainment we have.
Both Lex Veldhuis and Benjamin “Spraggy” Spragg returned to Day 3 of the $10,300 Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) Main Event with 40 remaining, $26,700 locked up, and a staggering $1,062,955 up top.
It’s hard to ignore numbers like that. It was a stream you simply couldn’t miss, whether you’re a complete newcomer to poker or a grizzled veteran.
As good friends, fake rivals and fellow PokerStars Ambassadors, Lex and Spraggy teamed up for a squad stream (Twitch streamers can team up so viewers can tune in to multiple streams at once, flicking back and forth between the action).
It proved perfect for last night, particularly when the two found themselves on the same table.
What happened next? The PokerStars Blog has all the details; check it out here.
