Day 3 Action
Day 3 started with 40 players at 12:30 ET, and the action went quickly from the start. Before the end of the first full level of play they were already down to 29 remaining.
Things slowed down a bit after that, but there were only about 10 levels of play in total for the penultimate day. Recent two-time EPT champion Mike "SirWatts" Watson made a run for the final day, starting Day 3 second in chips, and maintaining the big stack for much of the day.
At the same time, he was fighting for the title in the Super High Roller game. He ended up 3rd in that one for almost $170k but fell short of the final table in this one, ending in 16th for $48,008 and a ~$220k day.
Another player doing double duty in this one and the SHR today was Samuel "€urop€an" Vousden. He took 2nd in the SHR game for almost $250k then busted Day 3 of this one in 13th place for $61,314.
"Deiv4za" will be the player to beat on Wednesday's final day, but Daniel "DaniC19941893" Custodio and Laszlo "omaha4rollz" Bujtas both have good stacks to fight back with. Everyone returning is guaranteed at least $100,011 so it'll be a good guaranteed payday even for players in for two or three bullets.
