Day 4 Completed
In what turned out to be quite the come back, "Sodaski" emerged victorious in the 2023 Spring Championship of Online Poker Main Event L. The field saw 22,663 entries, but by the end of play on Day 4, only "Sodaski" was left standing.
"Sodaski" takes home a cash of $232,581.89 for their efforts. Their heads-up opponent, "PokerHorst", entered the day as the chip leader and spent most of the day adding to that lead. However, thanks to a key double up early in three-handed play, "Sodaski" was able to quickly overtake and defeat "PokerHorst" after the two reached heads-up play nearly even in chips.

9 | "xGGJ88x" | Luxembourg | $15,503.75 |
Final table action got off to a thrilling start, as "BluffyRabbit" woke up to pocket aces on the first deal of play. They managed to get it all in preflop against "URIEL_ROCK" for a double up.
Despite, being doubled through "URIEL_ROCK" still had a stack big enough to deliver the first knockout of the final table. A few hands later, "URIEL_ROCK" woke up with pocket kings. After "xGGJ88x" moved all in preflop and got called, they were unable to improve, heading to the rail in 9th place.
Shortly there after, Day 3 chip leader "PokerHorst" picked up their first knockout of the day, eliminating "nonni77" in 8th place after they moved all in with A?9? when "PokerHorst" had A?J?. "nonni77" was left drawing dead by the turn, and exited the tournament.
"PokerHorst" picked up their second knockout of the day in quite the cooler. They and "LUCKXXXL" got it all in preflop. "PokerHorst" got some bad news when the cards went face up, as their 10?10? was up against J?J?. However, a ten on the turn sent "LUCKXXXL" packing, and pushed "PokerHorst" to nearly 300,000,000 chips, a commanding lead.
"PokerHorst" continued applying pressure, putting chips in nearly every pot, frequently picking up the blinds. They picked up a third knockout after flopping a pair against Daniel "dani aziz" Aziz, who had just ace high after the river.
Fifth place finisher Matheus "bolonhax" Freitas fell to "URIEL_ROCK", after his pocket eights got cracked by his opponent pairing their king on the turn.
"PokerHorst" picked up what would ultimately be their final knockout after their ace-ten beat the ace-five of "URIEL_ROCK". This gave "PokerHorst" a massive lead, with more than 448,000,000 chips, while second place, "Sodaski" had just over 64,000,000.
Just a few hands into three-handed play, "Sodaski" picked up a critical double-up after his pocket nines held against the chip leader. Just a couple hands later, "Sodaski" picked up another big pot, for 122,000,000, after "PokerHorst" was unable to call a jam on the river.
After "Sodaski" eliminated "BluffyRabbit" in third place, the two were separated by less than 20,000,000. A few hands into heads-up play, "Sodaski" moved into the lead, as "PokerHorst" was once again unable to pull the trigger after a raise to 148,050,000 on the turn.
Shortly after, the tournament ended. "PokerHorst" had flopped a pair of aces. "Sodaski" made a flush on the turn and bet it. "PokerHorst" raised all-in, and was drawing dead as soon as "Sodaski" made the call.
"Sodaski", the Day 2 chip leader, seemingly ambushed "PokerHorst", who even just thirty minutes prior had seemed like a clear favorite to win the whole tournament, and was now out in second place. "Sodaski" was able to capitalize on winning several key hands and applying pressure when sensing weakness from their opponent.
