Austria's Mario "livinmydream1" Mosboeck has entered his name into the poker history books with an epic win in the SCOOP-M-92: $1,050 NLHE Main Event at PokerStars for $838,909.

Mosboeck earned his first SCOOP title and made it count by shipping the second biggest event of the 2021 Spring Championship of Online Poker thanks to the Medium Main Event attracting 5,903 entries for a $5,903,000 prize pool to smash the $5 million guarantee.

It was very unique as the Day 1 chip leader "Morrison830", Day 2 chip leader Mosboeck, and Day 3 chip leader "alimounda" all navigated their way to the podium in the event.

It was an epic come-from-behind battle for Mosboeck. Greece's "alimounda" had the lead a good portion of the final table but wasn't able to close it out with Mosboeck tasting his first final table chip lead during heads-up play to come from behind to win the title.

Final Table Action

The final table was slightly more than a four-hour affair with nearly half that coming during the long heads-up battle between the Day 3 chip leader "alimounda" and the Day 2 chip leader Mosboeck.

It took nearly an hour before the first player was eliminated when Greece's "onlyuknowme" (ninth - $55,926) ran their big slick into the rockets held by Belarus' "mvpall".

Mosboeck, who began the day with one of the lower stacks in play with 24 big blinds, began to rise after his cowboys held against ace-trey to eliminate Canada's "j_peso" (eighth - $78,456).

Day 1 chip leader "Morrison830" who at this point already doubled twice while behind eliminated Peru's "rmiguel2007" (seventh - $110,063) when his ace-six got there against big slick.

"mvpalls" (sixth - $154,402) then lost a bit of their stack before Ireland's "PopAShush" dusted the rest of it off when their seven-four suited didn't get there against queen-four.

Brazil's Bernardo "betsoares" Soares (fifth - $216,604) went out the next hand when his eights didn't hold against Mosboeck's ace-five. Mosboeck took out the next player as well but this time he was good when his big slick held against the king-queen held by "PopAShush" (four - $303,863).

"alimounda" then won a race against "Morrison830" (third - $426,275) when their big slick got there against jacks.

Greece's "alimounda" entered the heads-up action with a nearly 3:1 chip advantage over Mosboeck. At this point in the event, "alimounda" had the lead nearly the entire way at the final table other than a couple of short times "PopASmush" held it early in the action.

The heads-up battle featured many small pots early on with "alimounda" extending the lead to a 5:1 chip advantage. Mosboeck battled back and the duo discussed the possibility of a deal at the right after the first of two heads-up breaks with the chip stacks closer to even.

Mosboeck was fine with ICM but "alimounda" wanted more and the action continued.

Mosboeck took the lead briefly before "alimounda" stormed back and extended their lead to a 5:1 chip advantage once again. Mosboeck continued to battle back and took the chip lead for a second and final time shortly after the second heads-up break.

Mosboeck then put away "alimounda" (second - $598,000) after getting called off on a huge river jam. "alimounda" held ace-six for a pair of aces but this wasn't enough as Mosboeck held two pair with ace-trey with both an ace and three on the board.

Congrats to Austria's Mario "livinmydream1" Mosboeck for an epic way to earn his first SCOOP title with a victory in the SCOOP-92-M: $1,050 Main Event for $838,908.
