May Deepest Stack Flashback: Chris Bolek Defending Champ
Last year, this tournament drew 349 runners and offered up a $523,500 prize pool. The tournament ended in a heads-up deal between 2014 Rock ‘N’ Roll Poker Open Champion Chris Bolek and poker pro TK Miles. Both walked away with $94,544 while Bolek, who bagged the second-biggest stack on Day 1a on Thursday, being crowned the champion.
“It was a tough table,” Bolek said. “I just tried to stay in it and not bust myself.”
He added: “Historically, one of my worst months for poker is May. It’s definitely nice to get a nice win and basically going into the summer on a freeroll.”
Others to cash the tournament were Loni Harwood (5th - $24,997), John Miller (9th - $11,119), Jose Reyes (15th - $7,957), David Page (21st - $5,471), Tony Utnage (24th - $4,439), Jonathan Hilton (32nd - $3,246), Ory Hen (34th - $3,246), and Jerry Wong (38th - $2,670).
