Bartolotta Triples Up

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Cam Bartolotta saw his stack dwindle from 42,000 to 13,000 after being moved to Table 2, but he finally found a spot to get his chips in. After the player in Seat 1 opened to 5,600, Bartolotta shipped his 13,400-chip stack in with the {A-Hearts}{J-Hearts}. Two players called and both checked the {j-}{8-}{2-} flop. The turn brought a {7-} and the player in Seat 9 bet 30,000, inducing a fold from Seat 1. Bartolotta was pleased to see his jacks ahead of pocket tens, and the {Q-} on the river gave him a much-needed triple.

Sessum Wins a Monster, Takes Chip Lead

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 200 ante
Maurice Sessum
Maurice Sessum

Maurice Sessum just knocked out two players in a wild preflop confrontation to win the biggest pot of the tournament thus far.

Jeff Joseph opened to 3,200 and Sessum three-bet to 7,700. Tom Sartori called, and Adam Greenly moved in for 17,600 from the blinds. Joseph folded, Sessum moved all in over the top and Sartori quickly called for his tournament life.

Greenly: {K-Clubs}{K-Spades}
Sessum: {A-Diamonds}{A-Spades}
Sartori: {J-Spades}{9-Spades}

Sartori was looking to gamble and it appeared to pay off when the flop rolled out {8-Spades}{7-Clubs}{Q-Spades}, giving him a straight flush draw. The {9-Hearts} on the turn added even more outs to his hand, but the {Q-Diamonds} on the river secured the huge pot for Sessum, who pumped his fist in the air and now stands as the new chip leader.

Visbisky Crippled, Then Crushed

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

After losing most of his stack in a flip ({K-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds} to {7-Clubs}{7-Spades}) in the prior hand, Alex Visbisky was just eliminated at Table 9. Sharman Olshan opened to 2,500 from the cutoff and Visbisky called all in for 2,000 from the button. Michael Camizzi called from the small blind and the big blind came along as well.

On the {A-Clubs}{A-Spades}{6-Diamonds} flop, Camizzi led out for 5,000 and the other two players folded. Visbisky already knew he was in trouble.

"I actually had a good hand," he said as he rolled over the {8-Spades}{8-Clubs}. Camizzi tabled his {A-Hearts}{3-Hearts} for trip aces and the {10-Diamonds} turn and {4-Spades} river spelled the end of Visbisky's tournament.
