Visbisky Out, Guindon Leads Big

Level 10 : 800/1,600, 0 ante
Tom Guindon
Tom Guindon

Mark Roberts opened by potting to 3,500 and got three calls before Alex Visbisky repotted for roughly one third of his 60,000-chip stack with the {a-}{a-}{q-}{8-} double suited.

Tom Guindon looked him up with the {3-}{4-}{6-}{7-} and flopped a wrap on a {10-}{5-}{3-} board. They got it in, Guindon turned a deuce, and busted Visbisky on the way to a huge chip lead with 29 now remaining.

Nablo Out, Kaplin Up

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 0 ante

Leo Kaplin, who claims to have won a chipped trophy when he outlasted the field in this very tournament three years ago, just got the best of a three-way all-in pot to climb the counts and send Jason Nablo to the rail.

Kaplin: {Q-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{5-Diamonds}
Tom Guindon: {7-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{6-Spades}
Nablo: {k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{5-Clubs}

Nablo had the best of it when the money went in preflop, but Kaplin flushed out on a {10-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} board to triple up. Nablo had Kaplin covered, but lost a side pot to Guindon's two pair.

Joseph Elia

Joseph Elia is on a massive heater and just became the first player past the 100,000-chip mark heading into the break with the chip lead.

He managed to win a 60,000-chip three-way all in pot moments ago with {a-}{q-}{10-}{9-}, flopping a nine and finding another on the river to make trips, crack aces and push ahead of the pack.

Classic Plumber

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 0 ante
Tom Guindon
Tom Guindon

Tom "Plumber" Guindon, who is an actual plumber and also has a reputation for flushing many opponent's tournament dreams down the drain here at Seneca, just did exactly that to Ray LaRouech.

LaRouech flopped a set of aces and Guindon decided to roll with what he called a "semi-wrap". In fact, it was a gutshot, and he hit it on the river to bust LaRouech and join the leaders heading into the second break of the day.

The Olivo Branch

Level 7 : 400/800, 0 ante
Domenic Olivo
Domenic Olivo

Niagara Falls, Canada's Domenic Olivo flopped top set with the {k-}{k-}{j-}{5-} on a {k-}{10-}{X-} board.

Once the player on his left made a set of his own, he was willing to get it in. Kings were still best and Olivo now has a nice, healthy stack as a result.
