The Lead Is Large

Level 27 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Guy Klass now has more than half the chips in play after flopping a straight and getting a big raise on the turn and a big bet on the river paid off by Mark Roberts.

However, Roberts got all that back doubling through Hassan Jamil with {A-}{Q-} versus fours. Roberts flopped two pair and boated up on the turn.

The Top and Bottom

Level 27 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Guy Klass continues to add to his lead, playing aggressively with the big stack.

In the meantime, Jason Sagle is in the danger zone, but appeared to have just enough to get others to fold the two times he shipped it in.

Play continues four handed.

Ernie Guardarramas Eliminated in 5th Place ($14,592)

Level 27 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante
Ernie Guardarramas
Ernie Guardarramas

Ernie Guardarramas open jammed the cutoff for under one million and Mark Roberts went all in for a little less from the small blind.

Guardarramas was caught with the {q-Hearts}{8-Hearts} against Roberts' timely {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}. Aces held and Guardarramas had 125,000 left.

Those chips went in with queen-high the next hand and Guy Klass and Hassan Jamil called. Klass made a straight to end Guardarramas' run.

There's four left and chop negotiations have begun.

When You're Guy Klass

Level 27 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

When you're Guy Klass you can show up late from the break with a Hayburner in hand.

When Ernie Guardarramas makes it 100,000 preflop, you can make it 300,000 from the small blind. Then, you can open ship it all in on a {j-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{7-Clubs} flop and get Guardarramas to fold.

After that, you'll have 3,000,000 in chips and be leading the 2017 Seneca Fall Poker Classic Main Event.

Klass Leads!

Level 26 : 20,000/40,000, 4,000 ante

Guy Klass now leads with the end of Level 26 fast approaching.

Hassan Jamil has stayed close, however, after pushing Ernie Guardarramas of a big pot. There was a bit of a raising war between the two of them. Jamil finally won it with a big bet on an {8-Hearts}{4-Spades}{3-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} board. He showed the {2-Spades} for the needle.

The stacks now look eerily similar with Klass and Jamil on over two million and the other three players on one.

The Guy's All Klass

Level 26 : 20,000/40,000, 4,000 ante
Guy Klass
Guy Klass

Hassan Jamil continues to lead, but Guy Klass is quickly becoming the story at this final table.

Klass started the day with five or six big blinds. In fact, he was under 200,000. Now, after making a straight on a board with four diamonds, he took decent sized pot off Jason Sagle and has almost two million in chips.

Klass won the 2017 Western Poker Challenge Main event in the Spring and is looking to make it two of three Seneca Main Events this year. While he started the day as a long shot to do it, you'd be hard pressed to find anyone in the room betting against him now.

Roberts Doubles!

Level 26 : 20,000/40,000, 4,000 ante
Mark Roberts
Mark Roberts

Ernie Guardarramas made it 115,000 and Mark Roberts shoved for 370,000.

Guardarramas made the quick call with the {k-Diamonds}{j-Spades}, but was dominated by Roberts' {a-Spades}{j-Clubs}. Roberts got the timely double after a {3-Spades}{5-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{2-Hearts} board brought no surprises.

Lou Procopio Eliminated in 6th Place ($11,004)

Level 26 : 20,000/40,000, 4,000 ante
Lou Procopio
Lou Procopio

Guy Klass made it 105,000 from the cutoff and Lou Procopio shoved the small blind for 443,000. It folded back to Klass and he called with the {4-Clubs}{4-Spades}.

Procopio, who was a 2012 DeepStacks Poker Tour Western New York Poker Championship finalist as well, was at risk with the {a-Clubs}{q-Spades}.

The {4-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{j-Spades} gave Klass a set, but Procopio did have a gutshot. He missed that on the {6-Diamonds} turn and {2-Diamonds} river to say goodbye sixth.
