Nguyen Wakes Up With Aces in the Big Blind

Robert Gill raised to 7,000 from under the gun, and was called by a player in middle position. Then it folded to Ky Nguyen in the big blind, who three-bet to 22,000. Then Gill put in the four-bet 75,000. That got the player in middle position to fold, before Nguyen five-bet all in for 138,500. Gill said "If I run into races again with this hand" and made the call.

Gill's instincts were right, and after the board ran out 2?Q?K?9?J? the pocket aces were still best, to give Nguyen the double up.
