Fourteen Players Will Decide Who Is Crowned Champion on Day 3 of the The Hendon Mob Championship Liechtenstein Main Event

The THMC Liechtenstein Main Event Trophy
The THMC Liechtenstein Main Event Trophy

Welcome to Day 3 of the 2023 The Hendon Mob Liechtenstein CHF 300 ($332) Main Event. On what is the final scheduled day of the series, 14 players will see their return to Grand Casino Liechtenstein. Originally, it was planned that only eight people would return for the final, however, all the all-ins in the final stages of Day 2 ended in double-ups, resulting in no bust-outs for a good portion of 90 minutes.

With 601 total entries registered over the seven starting flights, the organization had to cough up some money of their own as the guaranteed prize pool of CHF 200,000 had not been reached. They happily did so, and the 14 that are still remaining will divide the lion's share among them today. They have all locked up at least CHF 1,730, but all eyes will be on the top prize of CHF 40,200.

Switzerland's Anton Heinrich has the best outlook on capturing the beautiful THMC Liechtenstein trophy and the accompanying cash. Knowing a strong post-bubble phase on Day 2, he ended up gathering six million chips over the course of play. Good for 86 big blinds at the start of play, he will be the far-and-away chip leader coming into the final day.

The mysterious "Alladin" sits in second place with 3,760,000 in chips, while Liechtenstein's very own Karim Frick occupies the third place on the leaderboard with a stack of 3,300,000. Greek tournament grinder Symeon Alexandridis (1,900,000) is also still in contention, as well as comeback kid Alessandro Morales (2,355,000), who was down to merely four big blinds at one point during the final four tables. Day 1a chip leader Daniel Schwitter, in the meantime, comes in as the short stack, having only nine big blinds at his disposal.

The final will kick off at 6 p.m. local time, with the blinds at 35,000/70,000 with a 70,000 big blind ante. The plan is to play 45-minute levels until the final table is reached, at which point they will increase to 60 minutes in length. There will be a 30-second shot clock in play for each player, and the final table is planned to be streamed live with cards-up coverage.

PokerNews will, as always, provide you with all of the action from 14 players down to one. Stay tuned to find out who will be crowned the THMC Liechtenstein Main Event Champion in this thrilling finale.
