Kevin Boudreau Eliminated in 4th Place ($34,678)

Level 31 : 60,000/120,000, 20,000 ante
Kevin "Phwap" Boudreau
Kevin "Phwap" Boudreau

Kevin Boudreau put his last 455,000 in and was called by Wistar Holt.

Holt: {a-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}
Boudreau: {3-Spades}{3-Clubs}

The race was on, but Boudreau fell way behind as the {a-Spades}{5-Clubs}{10-Hearts} flopped to give Holt aces. The {k-Spades} turn and {2-Spades} river missed Boudreau, and the room broke out in applause as the players and rail congratulated Boudreau on his deep run.

Boudreau Nearly Felted By Yazdi's Two-Outer

Level 31 : 60,000/120,000, 20,000 ante
Reza Yazdi
Reza Yazdi

Kevin Boudreau three-bet from the small blind to just over 1 million after Reza Yazdi opened under the gun. Yazdi shoved all in, and Boudreau called.

Boudreau: {9-Spades}{9-Hearts}
Yazdi: {8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}

Boudreau was miles ahead for most of the chips in play, but Yazdi nailed the flop as it came {4-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{8-Spades}. A {k-Clubs} turn left Boudreau needing a nine on the river, but it was another four, no help to the unfortunate "Phwap."

Chrisp Crippled, Making a Comeback

Level 31 : 60,000/120,000, 20,000 ante
Max Chrisp
Max Chrisp

In one of the last hands at the previous level, Reza Yazdi made it 225,000 on the button, and Max Chrisp called in the small blind. Chrisp led out for 375,000 on the {j-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} flop, and Yazdi made it 775,000. Chrisp called, and the turn was a {k-Clubs}.

"Oh man," Chrisp said as he pushed forward 1.025 million. "I didn't want to get in a big pot with you."

A big pot got bigger as Yazdi jammed for 2.47 million, and Chrisp called.

Chrisp: {k-Hearts}{10-Hearts}
Yazdi: {k-Diamonds}{q-Spades}

Yazdi had top pair and an open-ended straight draw, while Chrisp had kings up. The river brought a {j-Hearts} to counterfeit Chrisp.

"Are you f****** kidding me?" he yelled in disbelief.

Stacks were counted down, and Chrisp had 70,000 remaining. He swore repeatedly, but good fortune followed. Chrisp found himself all in three straight times and he won all of them, the last time holding with {q-Clubs}{q-Hearts} against the {a-Clubs}{7-Clubs} of Yazdi despite a two-club flop. He's now back to a fighting chance.

Boudreau Shows the Trips

Level 30 : 50,000/100,000, 10,000 ante

Kevin Boudreau min-raised under the gun, and Max Chrisp defended his big blind. Chrisp came out betting with 300,000 on the {4-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{8-Clubs} flop, and Boudreau called. Action went the same on the {8-Hearts} turn, and Chrisp fired the same bet a third time on the {k-Spades} river. This time, instead of merely calling, Boudreau made it 1.2 million to go, and Chrisp just smiled.

"Making a move huh?" he said, mucking {a-Hearts}{4-Hearts} face-up.

Boudreau showed it was no move, as he had the goods with {j-Spades}{8-Diamonds}.

Yazdi Pays Off Boudreau

Level 30 : 50,000/100,000, 10,000 ante

Kevin Boudreau opened for a min-raise on the button, and Reza Yazdi defended his big blind. Both players were quick to check the {8-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} flop, and Yazdi check-called a large bet of 400,000 on the {a-Hearts}. A {2-Diamonds} hit the river, and Yazdi checked. Boudreau bet 900,000, and Yazdi wasted little time before calling.

Boudreau showed {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} for a set, and Yazdi's cards hit the muck.

Boudreau Meeting Resistance

Level 30 : 50,000/100,000, 10,000 ante

The tide is starting to turn against Kevin "Phwap" Boudreau, as players at the table are now responding to his aggression. Reza Yazdi just four-bet jammed after opening the button, being called by Max Chrisp, and seeing Boudreau three-bet. He got a fold, as did Wistar Holt on each of three recent shoves over Boudreau opens.
