Nick Pupillo was on the button and called a cutoff raise by Mark Rubenstein. They took in a flop, and Rubenstein bet 500,000. Pupillo jammed for 1.7 million, and Rubenstein called.

Pupillo was in rough shape as his straight outs were dead. The turn didn't help the Mid-States Poker Tour team pro, and the send him out in sixth, the same place he got at MSPT Golden Gates earlier this year.
JC Chen jammed from middle position with a stack of more than 1 million, and Nicholas Aranda called off 980,000 on the button.

The board came clean for Aranda, and he doubled up, leaving Chen with barely a small blind. He put that in with the next hand and failed to improve against the of Jason Zarlenga.
JC Chen opened for 165,000 in middle position, and Mark Rubenstein defended his big blind. They both checked the , and the hit. Rubenstein bet 250,000, and Chen raised to 600,000. Rubenstein responded by jamming for about 900,000 more. Chen tanked for a few minutes and seemed truly pained, eventually spinning the face-up and face-down for about a minute. He then mucked.
William Rogers opened for 155,000 in middle position. Tom Theisen shoved in from the button for 860,000. Rogers thought about a minute and flicked in a call.

Rogers needn't have worried as he was in great shape, and he scored the knockout as the board came .
Mark Rubenstein opened for 120,000 under the gun, and JC Chen called in middle position. On the button, Ryan Michael shoved for 635,000. Rubenstein folded, but Chen called off for 560,000.

The flop offered Chen little, but a turn meant he needed just one more diamond to make a flush. The peeled off the deck, and the aces were cracked.
Michael had just 75,000 left and busted two hands later.
