The 2019 Mid-States Poker Tour Denver Poker Open $1,100 Main Event has come down to the final day with 55 players advancing out of 399 entries total. Day 2 is set for an 11 a.m. kickoff here in the Rocky Mountains, at Golden Gates Casino Resort.
Jim Morrison will lead the pack when play begins, albeit narrowly, bringing 413,000 back after a stellar finish to Day 1b. He'll be trailed by the 411,500 of Caleb Meyer, the 393,500 of Nick Boll, the 378,000 of Phil Kiphardt and the 351,000 of Steve Wilkie.
Other notables coming back include defending champ Brian Hou, Ben Keeline, Rich Dixon, Vincent Moscati, Adedapo Ajayi and Nebraska's own "Farmer" Phil Mader.
As Day 1b reached the earliest hard stop, that's the point where Day 2 will begin. Action kicks off with 26 minutes left at 1,500/3,000/3,000.
Official payouts have not yet been made available to PokerNews, but the expectation is that 45 places will be paid with the winner taking home approximately $85,000. That winner will be crowned here on Sunday, so stay tuned to see who the next MSPT champ will be.
