Hofer Wins at Showdown Without Showing
Level 12
: 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Robert Hofer saw action folded to him in the cutoff and opened to 4,500. Ryan Scully called from the small blind and the big blind defended to take postflop action three ways.
The flop dropped and all three players checked, bringing the turn . Scully led out for 6,000 and received a call from the big blind before Hofer got out of their way.
The river came and Scully checked. The big blind thought for a few moments and then threw out a bet of 13,000. Scully quickly tossed in a chip to signify that he had called.
Upon seeing the call, the big blind immediately dropped his cards onto the muck pile from the one-seat and Scully followed suit, exchanging his cards for the pot without the need or desire to show.
