Chan Pelton saw action folded to him on the button and opened to 12,000. Vic Peppe defended his big blind and then went all in for 32,000 on a flop of . Pelton called and the two waited for play to finish on the remaining tables. Once all hands were finished, cards were tabled.
Vic Peppe:
Chan Pelton:
Peppe's top pair was out in front of Pelton's middle pair and he was in great shape for a double. The turn came to give him one last card to sweat, which fell to secure the double and result in the bubble continuing with Level 16 coming to a close.

There was around 150,000 in the pot on a board reading with heads-up action between Chan Pelton in the big blind and Brandon Waalen, who was under the gun. Chan had a bet of 80,000 in front of him and Waalen was deep in consideration as the other six tables awaited the hand to end. He eventually settled on a call.
"Straight," said Pelton, tabling for a backdoor six-high straight. Waalen sent his cards to the muck and the pot was shipped to Chan, who has numerous piles of chips stacked in a manner that is beginning to look like a city skyline and looking like around 900,000.

Jason Seitz went all in for 68,000 under the gun and action had folded around to Fredger West, who was in the big blind and in the tank. He was talking to Seitz and counting out a call, saying he really wasn't trying to slowroll Seitz. He then put out chips onto the felt.
"I really hope you're not ahead," said West eventually, putting out chips to call as he did so.
Jason Seitz:
Fredger West:
"You're ahead," added West after seeing the news. However, he didn't stay behind for long as the board ran out to give him a set of tens on the flop. Seitz stood up as the turn rolled off and was gone by the time the pot was shipped to West.
Moments earlier, Alex Winter got all in from the cutoff against Justin Thurlow, who was in early position.
Alex Winter:
Justin Thurlow:
The board ran out to give Winter a flopped full house that became a better one by the time the runout was finished, scoring him the double to take him up to 190,000 after coming into the day as one of the shortest stacks in the room. Thurlow is also off to a hot start despite losing the pot, having chipped up already over 600,000.

Dennis Stevermer:
Wadekamper needed to hit an eight to survive and did not get it as the dealer brought a runout of to spell an end for his tournaments just a handful of minutes into Day 2. Meanwhile, Stevermer has now chipped up to 222,000 after the early knockout.
Moments later, Todd Fisher was seen getting up from his table after being eliminated from the tournament: "Good luck, guys," he said before making his way from the room. Richard Alsup was also just eliminated, bringing the field down to 63 players.
