Massey Misses the Triple
Level 9
: 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Ralph Massey opened to 14,000 in the hijack, leaving just a small stack of T100 chips behind. Nick Pupillo was next to act in the cutoff and called, and the next two players folded to put action onto Jordan Helstern in the small blind. Helstern thought for about 35 seconds and then three-bet shoved for just shy of 50,000. Pupillo called.

Massey remained ahead on the flop but found himself going from four to eight outs that he needed to fade. The turn left him in bad shape, needing to hit a two outer on the river to stay alive. It didn't come as completed the runout and Massey found himself dry on chips as his stack was chopped between Helstern and Pupillo.
