Day 1a Of The Mid-States Poker Tour $1,100 Kicks Off At 11:10 A.M.
After a large turnout in last week's event, The Mid-States Poker Tour is kicking off their second event with The Mid-States Poker Tour $1,100 No-Limit Hold��em at Venetian Las Vegas. Like the prior event, this one also boasts a hefty guarantee, this time to the size of $1,500,000, blowing the last years prize pool out of the water.
The last $1,100 MSPT at Venetian saw Cole Keenan take down his first MSPT title along with a career best of $123,722. The year prior saw Landon Tice take down this title for $201,529. This year��s guarantee ensures that the first place prize will be more than either of those and looks to have a much bigger field.
Keenan and Tice may come out to play and snag another MSPT title. Other players expected to come out include MSPT champions Josh Reichard, Greg Himmelbrand, Dan Bekavac, and last week's victor Shea Quintin.
The players will sit down with 25,000 in starting chips with blinds beginning at 100/100 and a 100 big blind ante. Blinds will last 40 minutes with a 15-minute break after every three levels. A 60-minute dinner break will occur after Level 9 and once the dinner break is completed, registration will be closed for that flight.
