After 15 levels of play, the starting field of 822 players in the The Mid-States Poker Tour $1,100 Main Event No-Limit Hold'em at Venetian Las Vegas has played down to just 101 players who will return on Wednesday June 15th to play Day 2.

Leading the way is Tonio Roder who ended the day with 874,000. Everything went right for Roder today as the German player consistently put players into tough decisions for their tournament lives while amassing all of their chips. Roder is a German player whos best cash comes from his 40th place finish in the 2021 WSOP Main Event for $163,900. He has put himself in a position to take home a sizable chunk of the $1,500,000 guaranteed prize pool.

Also bagging at the end of the day was famous youtube personality and MSPT champion Ethan Rampage Yau with 414,000. Yau has a career total of $353,513 in lifetime earnings, the biggest portion of which came from his victory at the 2021 MSPT Venetian. He looks to add his name to the list of two-time MSPT champions as well as potentially win another career best score.

Other players that found their way to bags at the end of the night included Rubin Chappell (369,000), Cord Garcia (300,000), Jake Bazeley (260,000), Dan Goepel (212,000), Harry Lodge (191,000) and Ralph Massey (65,000). Players who were unable to find bags included Kyna England, Rich Alsup, Josh Reichard, Michael Dyer, Maurice Hawkins and Joey Weissman. All of these players will have the option to play tomorrows flight to try to make Day 2.

Despite the players playing a full 15 levels, because the clock was stopped on level 13 with 18:35 remaining in flight 1a, the players in this flight will be going back to that level. Day 2 will begin at 11 a.m., continue with 40-minute levels and 15-minute breaks in between there.

Day 1c begins on Tuesday June 14th at 11:10 with blinds at 100/100 and 40 minute levels. The players will have 15-minute breaks after every 3 levels and a 60-minute dinner break after level 9 afterwards, closing late registration. Stay tuned to PokerNews for all updates regarding the MSPT.
