The tour is coming off of a stop in Riverside, Iowa that drew 749 entries for a prize pool of $726,530. MSPT last visited Las Vegas over Labor Day weekend, and PokerGO commentator Jeff Platt outlasted 470 entries on his run to a $100,804 victory.
The $250,000 guarantee is the first of two MSPT events at the Venetian this week, with a $1,600 Main Event to follow on Thursday, November 3 that guarantees $750,000. Today's survivors will return on Thursday at 11 a.m. for Day 2.
Players will start with 25,000 chips and play 40-minute levels until approximately 11% of the field remains, which will be in the money. Unlimited entries are available through Level 9, at approximately 5:55 p.m. local time. Day 1a ended with 19:15 left in Level 15 with blinds at 3,000/5,000/5,000.
