Day 1b of the MSPT Venetian $1,100 Main Event Kicks Off Soon
Welcome to Day 1b of the MSPT Venetian $1,100 Main Event at the Venetian Poker Room in Las Vegas. Day 1a saw 238 entrants show up to play for the $500,000 prize pool and 27 surviving players will meet the remaining field from Day 1b on Monday September 6 to play for the title.
David Ouellette is the chip leader in a Day 1a field that includes WSOP gold bracelet winner Kathy Liebert. Previously at the MSPT in Las Vegas, Harlen Miller of Bismarck, North Dakota beat a field of 2,790 entries to win the MSPT Venetian $1,100 Main Event in early June and later that month Chance Kornuth outlasted 2,011 entries to take down the MSPT Venetian $1,600 Main Event. Many more MSPT regulars are expected throughout in the field throughout today.
Day 1b begins at 11:10 a.m. local time and it is the last of two starting days. The final day of the tournament will take place on Monday September 5 at 11:00 a.m. Players will start with 25,000 in chips and blinds open at 100/100 with a 100 big blind ante. There will be a 15-minute break every three levels and a 60-minute break at the end of level nine. Levels will be 40 minutes long.
Play will continue on Day 1b until 11% of the field remain, or until 15 levels have been played. Registration will be open until around 6:40 p.m., when the late registration period ends at the conclusion of the dinner break that follows Level Nine. Player’s can re-enter as many times as they wish until late registration closes.
