Didenka Doubles Through Boci

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Liudas Didenka pushed from an early position and Lorenc Boci in the cutoff asked for a count. Once the all-in was deemed to be for 435,000, Boci went all-in for two times as many chips to force out all opponents behind.

Liudas Didenka: {a-Hearts}{j-Spades}
Lorenc Boci: {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}

The board ran out {q-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} and Didenka doubled to trade spots with Boci.

Ramiro Wins One; Loses One

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Michael Ramiro jammed the first hand from under the gun and it folded to Sorin Pruteanu, who tank-folded in the big blind.

Both were in the blinds the next hand and a limped pot led to the {q-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{6-Hearts} flop. Pruteanu check-called for 50,000 and the {3-Clubs} turn was checked by both. Pruteanu led the {4-Spades} river for 85,000 and Ramiro folded.

Jack O'Neill Wins Record-Setting UKIPT 2,200 High Roller

Ten day of live poker action come to an end later today at the Hippodrome Casino in London. It was a glorious return for the PokerStars sponsored United Kingdom and Ireland Poker Tour (UKIPT) after a hiatus of nearly five and a half years with decent numbers across the board in the former theatre near Leicester Square.

The poker action was bustling and Day 1a of the 1,100 Main Event reeled in 297 entries, as the new tournament area at Lola's was put to a test. One day prior, the marquee tournament on the schedule had kicked off while another highlight of the series played down to a winner.

A total of 95 unique players and 36 re-entries in the 2,200 High Roller created a record field of 131 entries, surpassing the previous biggest field for the UKIPT tour by 17 entries. The top 17 spots were paid a portion of the 251,520 prize pool and it was the UK's Jack O'Neill who came out on top of a short-lived heads-up duel with Grosvenor sponsored pro Jamie Nixon to claim the top prize of 64,520.

O'Neill was among the bigger stacks towards the bubble and remained at the top of the leaderboard for most of the final table. Two PokerStars ambassadors were also among the final nine players but bowed out early on. Ramon Colillas finished in 8th place for 8,635 followed by Ben Spragg in seventh place for 10,363.

Among the notable contenders on the final table were also Christopher Williams and Brazilian online grinder Belarmino De Souza as well.

Spragg then went on to reach Day 3 of the 1,100 Main Event as one of the shorter stacks with a shot at the UKIPT Main Event title. He is joined there by Joshua Boulton, who bubbled the final table of the 2,200 High Roller but bagged the biggest stack for the final day of the flagship tournament.

The 2022 PokerStars UKIPT London 1,100 Main Event will draw to a conclusion today at the Hippodrome Casino in the heart of the English capital. Out of a field of 645 entries, only 16 players remain and they will aim to secure the biggest slice of the 619,200 prize pool.

Leading the way to claim the first UKIPT Main Event title in almost five and a half years is the UK's Joshua Boulton with a stack of 3,350,000. There is already a notable gap to second-placed Julien Sitbon (2,385,000) and Antoine Saout, who occupies the final spot on the overnight podium with a stack of 2,185,000.

Local resident Alexios Zervos is also among the bigger stacks 1,580,000 and cash game specialist Dongze Hao (1,535,000) follows fewer than two blinds behind.

As can be expected, most of the finalists are hailing from the UK and that does also apply for the former EPT London Main Event finalist Kully Sidhu (840,000) and PokerStars ambassador Ben Spragg (540,000).
