Welcome to Day 1b of the PokerStars UKIPT Blackpool Main Event, running at Grosvenor Casino at The Sandcastle. This is the second of three flights and will begin at 12 p.m local time.
In exchange for their buy-in of ￡1,100, players will recieve a 30,000 chips, which is a 300 big blind starting stack. Blinds start at 100/100 with a 100 big blind ante and levels progress every 40-minutes, with regular breaks throughout the day.
Day 1b will play down to 15 percent of the field and those who survive will make it through to Day 2 and into the money. It is expected to be the busiest of the flights. Day 1c is also running tonight at 6 p.m. local time and will feature turbo 20-minute blind levels.
Players can opt to have up to three entries per flight.
Sam Grafton finished Day 1a as chip leader with 342,000, followed by Dale Hancock in second and Jessica Pilkington in third. Whether they remain at the top of the counts will depend on the outcome of the flights still to come.
The UKIPT Blackpool Main Event runs until Sunday night, at which point a new champion will be crowned.
