Monster Pot on Table 10

Level 5 : 200/400, 50 ante

We just watched a monster pot take place over at Table 10 between big stacks Mick Graydon and Chris Day.

When we arrived, there was roughly 13,000 in the pot and a flop of {4-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}. Day was first to act and bet 4,300, which Graydon called from the button after some thought. After the dealer burned and turned the {6-Clubs}, Day led out for 11,700, leaving himself about 28,000 behind. Graydon made a relatively quick call and then the {Q-Clubs} river put four clubs on the board.

Day slowed down with a check and Graydon followed suit. "You got it," a crestfallen Day said before showing the {a-Spades}{k-Spades}. Graydon then showed the {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds} for the same hand. Day's spirits picked up a bit when he saw that he'd get his chips back. "Hero calling?" he asked his opponent. "If it's not the {Q-Clubs} I can shove."

Chop it up.
