Chidwick Stretches the Gap After Catching Peters Bluffing

Level 24 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

David Peters raised the {5-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} and Stephen Chidwick defended with {J-Hearts}{7-Hearts}. Chidwick check-called another 150,000 on the {6-Spades}{A-Hearts}{7-Clubs} flop before both checked the {10-Hearts} turn. Chidwick checked for the third time after the {K-Diamonds} river hit the felt and Peters had a go at the pot, betting 450,000. Chidwick, however, paid the prize and caught the bluff.

Sean Winter Eliminated in 3rd Place ($175,000)

Level 24 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Sean Winter
Sean Winter

Sean Winter raised all-in out of the small blind and David Peters called for the offered 690,000. Unfortunately for Winter, he found his hand was dominated by Peters.

Winter: {Q-Clubs}{7-Clubs}
Peters: {Q-Spades}{J-Diamonds}

The {8-Diamonds}{A-Diamonds}{K-Spades} flop gave Winter some outs to chop with Peters.

"Eight," Winter observed, calling for a split. But it was the {A-Clubs} that landed on the turn.

"King," Winter said, hoping for another card that would now secure him a half of the pot.

But he wouldn't see an eight, queen, king nor an ace on the river, let alone a seven for the winner. The {3-Hearts} river stayed with Peters who eliminated Winter in third place for $175,000.

Chidwick Bluffs Peters Off With a Colossal Overshove

Level 24 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

David Peters completed from the small blind with {A-Hearts}{4-Spades} and Stephen Chidwick bumped the price to 210,000 with {8-Clubs}{4-Clubs}. Peters called to see the flop.

Chidwick checked his flush draw on the {Q-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{7-Clubs}, letting Peters hit the top pair on the {A-Diamonds} turn. Peters checked again and Chidwick made it 325,000 to go, earning a call from his rival.

The {10-Hearts} river missed Chidwick's outs but he was ready to empty the clip after Peters checked one more time. Chidwick calmly said he was all in, shoving for a huge 1.9 million effectively.

Peters burned all of his three time-extension cards, trying to figure out the huge spot. He laid his hand down just before his time expired. Chidwick's gigantic bluff went through and he's now sitting on a confident chip-leading stack again.

Winter Is Coming Back

Level 23 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Sean Winter shoved his remaining 565,000 from the small blind and David Peters thought for a bit before calling.

WInter: {10-Diamonds}{8-Spades}
Peters: {9-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}

"I finally woke up with a hand," Winter smiled before Peters turned his hand up. Winter then learned that he had his opponent dominated.

The {7-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{J-Spades}{3-Spades} board gave both players a two-way straight draws but the river missed it all, leaving Winter's ten-high the winning hand.

Peters Binks a Five on the River

Level 23 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

David Peters limped the small blind with {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} and Stephen Chidwick checked his options with {Q-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}. Chidwick got the better of the {8-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts} flop, hitting the top pair. Peters checked and called when Chidwick made it 50,000.

The {6-Diamonds} turn gave Peters a gutshot straight draw while Chidwick picked up a flush draw. Peters checked again and Chidwick decided to go for a big bullet, overbetting to 325,000. Peters called anyway.

And he was rewarded for sticking around as the {5-Spades} river filled him with a straight. He wouldn't get any more money as the action went check-check but the river secured him a sizeable pot and he's now chasing Chidwick for the chip lead.

Peters Hits the Five-Ball

Level 23 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Small blind David Peters limp-called with {7-Clubs}{5-Clubs} after Stephen Chidwick raised to 175,000 with {A-Hearts}{J-Clubs}.

Peters flopped the middle pair on the {5-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} texture and check-called another 100,000. The {8-Hearts} and {10-Hearts} were both checked through and Peters took some chips back.
