Hands #36-41: Tilston Leads Heading Into the First Break

Level 15 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Hand 36: Jake Schindler raised to 27,000 on the button with {k-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} and Keith Tilston called with {7-Hearts}{2-Hearts} in the big blind. The flop fell {k-Spades}{j-Hearts}{3-Clubs} and Tilston check-folded to a bet of 20,000 from Schindler.

Hand 37: Schindler opened to 27,000 again with {a-Spades}{7-Clubs} and Negreanu called with {6-Hearts}{4-Hearts} in the big blind. The flop came {5-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} and Negreanu checked his flopped straight. Schindler continued for 25,000 and Negreanu check-raised to 110,000. Schindler elected to let his hand go and Negreanu took it down.

Hand 38: Tilston raised to 30,000 on the button with {a-Hearts}{4-Spades} and Schindler defended with {10-Hearts}{9-Hearts}. The flop came {a-Spades}{j-Hearts}{3-Hearts} and both players checked to the {7-Hearts} on the turn. Schindler completed his flush and checked again. Tilston fired 40,000 with top pair and the nut flush draw and Schindler check-raised to 135,000. Tilston thought for a moment and then made the call. The {10-Spades} on the river changed nothing and Schindler led out for 275,000. Tilston burned through one of his time extension before making the correct laydown.

Hand 39: Schindler limped in with {7-Spades}{4-Diamonds} in the small blind and Tilston checked his {7-Clubs}{5-Spades} in the big blind. Schindler led out for 12,000 on the flop of {j-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{2-Spades} and Tilston called. The {7-Diamonds} on the turn paired the board and gave both players trip sevens. Schindler fired another 45,000 and Tilston raised to 135,000. Schindler called and the {a-Hearts} completed the board. Schindler started with a check and Tilston bet 250,000. Schindler took some time to think about his decision but finally made the call and chopped the pot.

Hand 40: Tilston raised it up to 45,000 in the small blind with {q-Hearts}{3-Hearts} and Negreanu called with {j-Spades}{7-Hearts} in the big blind. The dealer fanned the flop of {a-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{2-Hearts} and Tilston led out for 45,000 with his flush draw. Negreanu quickly mucked his hand and Tilston raked in another pot.

Hand 41: Tilston opened to 30,000 on the button with {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds} and Negreanu three-bet to 150,000 out of the small blind with {a-Clubs}{j-Clubs}. With the action back on Tilston, he shoved all in, putting Negreanu to the test for the rest of his chips. Negreanu announced a fold and Tilston extended his lead.

Tom Marchese Eliminated in 4th Place ($165,000)

Level 15 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Tom Marchese
Tom Marchese

Hand 35: Daniel Negreanu limped with the {9-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} and a short-stacked Tom Marchese moved all in holding the {a-Clubs}{4-Clubs}. Negreanu made the easy call to put Marchese at risk.

A {2-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} flop put Negreanu in the lead but the {9-Clubs} on the turn gave Marchese a club draw. Unfortunately, the {k-Spades} peeled off on the river and Marchese was eliminated in fourth place taking home $165,000.

Hands #33-34: Marchese in the Danger Zone

Level 15 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Hand 33: Keith Tilston limped from the small blind with the {10-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} and folded when Negreanu bumped it up to 40,000 with the {q-Hearts}{j-Hearts}.

Hand 34: Tom Marchese opened to 26,000 with the {k-Spades}{9-Hearts} and Negreanu called from the small blind with the {a-Spades}{6-Spades} Jake Schindler matched the wager in the big blind with the {8-Spades}{6-Clubs} and an {a-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} flop was delivered.

After two checks in front of him, Marchese bet 28,000 only losing Schindler. The {8-Clubs} hit the turn and Negreanu check-called a bet of 55,000 from Marchese.

The {2-Hearts} bricked the river and Marchese used a time extension before firing a third barrel worth 185,000. Negreanu called and won the pot with his pair of aces.

Hands #28-32: Negreanu Trending Downward

Level 15 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Hand 28: Daniel Negreanu opened to 30,000 from under the gun with {6-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} and Jake Schindler woke up with {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds} on the button. Schindler made it 90,000 to go and Negreanu stuck around to see the flop of {9-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}. Negreanu started with a check and Schindler continued for 125,000, which Negreanu called. The turn brought the {j-Spades} and Negreanu checked again. Schindler moved all in for 460,000 and Negreanu instantly gave Schindler credit for pocket kings and folded.

Hand 29: Keith Tilston limped in with {j-Spades}{10-Hearts} in the small blind and Negreanu checked his {5-Clubs}{4-Spades}. The flop came {9-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{4-Hearts} and Tilston led out for 20,000 with his open-ended straight draw. Negreanu called with bottom pair and the {a-Hearts} landed on the turn. Both players checked to the {j-Diamonds} on the turn and Tilston fired out a value bet of 55,000 with a pair of jacks. Negreanu glanced his way with a puzzled look and then slid his cards to the muck.

Hand 30: Negreanu picked up the {a-Spades}{j-Diamonds} in the small blind and bumped it up to 45,000. Schindler, however, woke up with {j-Spades}{j-Clubs} in the big blind and re-raised to 135,000. Negreanu called another three-bet and the flop came {10-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{6-Spades}. Negreanu check-folded to a bet of 175,000 from Schindler as he continues to lose some three-bet pots.

Hand 31: Negreanu raised to 30,000 on the button with {q-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} and Tom Marchese defended from the big blind with {9-Clubs}{7-Hearts}. The flop came {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} and Marchese checked to Negreanu who fired 20,000 with middle pair and a flush draw. Marchese quickly mucked and Negreanu was finally able to earn himself a pot.

Hand 32: Schindler raised to 30,000 on the button with {k-Clubs}{q-Hearts} and Tom Marchese shoved all in with {a-Hearts}{j-Spades} in the small blind. Tilston folded his big blind and Schindler quickly mucked his king-high.

Hands #23-27: Schindler Shoves on Negreanu

Level 15 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Hand 23: Keith Tilston opened with the {4-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} to 30,000 and Daniel Negreanu called with the {q-Spades}{10-Hearts} on the button. No continuation bet from Tilston on a {3-Hearts}{a-Spades}{10-Clubs} flop allowed Negreanu to win the pot with a bet of 22,000.

Hand 24: Tom Marchese limped with the {9-Hearts}{6-Clubs} in the small blind and Tilston raised to 40,000 with the {9-Clubs}{2-Clubs} getting a swift fold from Marchese.

Hand 25: Jake Schindler opened with the {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs} and won the pot.

Hand 26: Tilston picked up the {j-Spades}{9-Spades} on the button and made it 30,000 to go. Schindler defended his big blind with the {k-Clubs}{7-Spades} and saw a {4-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{a-Spades} flop. Tilston continued for 25,000 and Schindler called.

The {10-Spades} hit the turn leaving Schindler drawing dead but he called a bet of 55,000 from Tilston.

The board completed with the {4-Diamonds} and Tilston's bet of 155,000 got a quick fold from Schindler.

Hand 27: Negreanu raised with the {q-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} on the button and Schindler three-bet to 90,000 holding the {a-Spades}{10-Clubs}. Getting a good price, Negreanu called bringing a {j-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{a-Hearts} flop.

Schindler led with a bet of 75,000 and Negreanu flatted to see the {8-Clubs} on the turn. Schindler shoved for 301,000 and Negreanu was forced to fold.
