Green Loses the Bet but Wins the Pot
Dan Smith and Brian Green have been sitting beside each other for the better part of the day. Over the course of eight hours, poker players often find a way to make some side bets. Green ordered himself a drink with a certain type of vodka and Smith ordered two more of the same, but with different types.
The Bet: Smith made a $200 bet that Green would not be able to tell what glass had his favorite type of vodka. When the drinks arrived, Green was sure he had it nailed down, but unfortunately, he chose the wrong glass. Smith would win the bet but there was still some poker to be played.
Smith raised to 10,000 on the button and Green called from the small blind. The flop came 
and both players checked to the 
on the turn. Green led out for 15,000 and Smith easily made the call. The river brought the 
and Green fired another 20,000. Smith called once again and Green tabled 
for a flush, good enough to scoop the pot.
