Smith, Davies, and Schulman Stuck in a Wormhole

Level 8 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

There was around 30,000 chips in the pot on the flop of {8-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{4-Spades} when action checked to Seth Davies on the button. He put out a bet of 8,000. Dan Smith was next to act in the big blind and he dropped into the tank.

During this time, the dealer called over the tournament director, claiming that she thought the shot clock was moving too fast. Sean Winter decided to pull out his phone to test this theory and found that the shot clock was in fact moving at the correct speed.

Smith, who was in the tank during this time then raised to 28,000. Nick Schulman called from middle position and Seth Davies called as well.

The turn was the {q-Hearts} and Smith went into the tank again. He thought for a bit, then moved all in for 112,000. Schulman used a time bank and eventually folded and Davies folded quickly as well so Smith took down the pot.

After the hand, Sean Winter apologized for his actions during the hand. Smith said it was fine, and that he'd never been in a hand where time stopped moving in a three-bet pot.

"Yeah we were kind of stuck in a wormhole there for a bit," Davies said.
