WSOP Bracelet Winners Go Toe-to-Toe
Kristen Bicknell opened to 1,500 from under the gun and got calls from Pierre Paul Paulin in the cutoff and Pablo Mariz in the big blind.
The flop came and Mariz checked to Bicknell who bet 3,500. Paulin folded and Mariz called.
The turn was the and Mariz led out for 8,000. Bicknell paused for a moment and then called.
The river was the and Mariz led out for 20,600. Bicknell went into the tank and eventually tossed some chips in the middle to call. Mariz tabled for the nut straight and Bicknell mucked.
Bicknell is a two-time WSOP bracelet winner after taking down the 2013 Ladies Event and then the 2016 Bounty Event. This past summer, Mariz scooped the Millionaire Maker for $1.2 million for his first bracelet. The two champions are two of three WSOP winners in the field, in addition to Pascal Lefrancois who won a $1,500 event in 2010.
