Dave Jeanneau-Cyr Makes it Two, Wins Second WCC Event

Dave Jeanneau-Cyr is the winner of Event #15: No-Limit Crazy Pineapple. He outlasted a field of 86 players to win CAD $2,162 and his second World Cup of Cards (WCC) Trophy. Two days ago he won the Dealer's Choice Tournament for CAD $2,032. He is the only player to win two tournaments so far in the WCC after beating Hrair Yaoudjian heads up.

The two played heads up for a relatively short amount of time, and eventually got all in when Yapoudjian turned two pair and snap-called Jeanneau-Cyr's shove. Jeanneau-Cyr had flopped aces up and would win the tournament when the river didn't improve Yapoudjian.

The tournament paid nine players. Devon Graves finished in ninth place shortly after the final table began. He got all in against Jean Francois Smith with tens against jacks and couldn't catch up.

Eric Lacombe was next to go when he got all in against Rodney Hollett with an open-ended straight draw. Hollett had pocket kings and eliminated Lacombe when he bricked the turn and river.

Then Hollett was eliminated by Hrair Yapoudjian when he called off with a flush draw and missed. Joey Boczek finished in sixth when he missed a draw against Smith.

The tournament played five-handed for a little until finally, Francesco Ciarallo flopped top pair, but couldn't dodge a flush draw against, the eventual winner Jeanneau-Cyr.

Then Jeanneau-Cyr also knocked out Smith in fourth place with pocket nines against ace, king. Yapoudjian would eliminate Anatoly Zharnitsky in third place to even out the stacks before eventually losing to Jeanneau-Cyr heads up.
