Hands #20-24: Tran Takes Two

Level 17 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Hand #20: Alexander Antonios raised to 8,500 from the cutoff and called the three-bet of Michael Tran from one seat over to 23,500. On the {2-Diamonds}?{10-Hearts}?{7-Spades} flop, Antonios check-called 32,500 and both players then checked down the {J-Diamonds} on the turn and the {K-Hearts} on the river. Tran turned over {A-Spades}?{A-Clubs} and that took down the pot.

Hand #21: Phil Hellmuth defended his big blind against a raise of Tran and bet the {5-Hearts}?{2-Diamonds}?{3-Diamonds} flop for 8,000. Tran raised to 18,000 and Hellmuth folded.

Hand #22: Antonios received a walk in the big blind.

Hand #23: Steven Zhou raised to 10,000 and claimed the blinds and antes.

Hand #24: Hellmuth raised to 10,000 and Tran called to see the heads-up flop of {6-Clubs}?{3-Hearts}?{9-Diamonds}. Tran check-called a bet of 15,000 and both checked through the {K-Clubs} on the turn. The {A-Hearts} completed the board on the river and Tran check-folded when Hellmuth made it 14,000 to go with about 74,000 behind.
