Rubie Cracks Aces

Level 5 : 200/400, 25 ante

Brendon Rubie is very active and just took down two pots in a row. In the first one he was involved in a four-way flop of {9-Hearts}?{2-Hearts}?{2-Diamonds} and bet 2,150 after Sean Giesbrecht and Scott Davies in the blinds checked to him. Only Tam Truong called his bet and they checked down the {J-Spades} turn and the {4-Diamonds} river. Rubie's {A-Spades}?{K-Diamonds} was better than the {A-Hearts}?{5-Hearts} of Truong.

The next hand Rubie opened to 900 and Sean Giesbrecht made it 2,200 on the button, Scott Davies in the small blind and Rubie called. The {K-Hearts}?{Q-Spades}?{10-Diamonds} flop was checked to Giesbrecht and he bet 3,000, which only Rubie called. The two of them checked the {4-Diamonds} on the turn and Rubie fired 7,500 on the {Q-Diamonds} river.

Giesbrecht snap-called and then shook his head in disgust when seeing the {A-Spades}?{Q-Hearts} of Rubie. He flashed the {A-Diamonds}?{A-Hearts} and both are not too far away from each other in the chip counts anymore.
