Level 9 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante
Nick Schulman
Nick Schulman

While most of the attention is on the $5,000 Main Event Championship, the $100,000 Ultra High Roller is taking place in the back corner of the Atlantis Conference Center with some of the biggest names in high-stakes poker still in contention.

Heading into the three-table redraw, poker commentator and overall swag-master Nick Schulman leads the way with a stack of over 7,500,000, significantly more than the average stack of approximately 2,800,000. Other big stacks leading the final 24 players include Leonard Maue (7,000,000), Justin Bonomo (7,500,000) and Quan Zhou (4,500,000).

Also among the remaining 24 players are Alex Foxen, Ren Lin, Isaac Haxton, Ben Heath, Rui Ferreira, Lucas Greenwood and Martin Kabrhel.

Gruissem Busts Douglas

Level 9 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Alexander Gruissem opened to 2,700 from under the gun and received a call from Bruce Douglas in the big blind.

The flop came 8?5?4? and Douglas check-called a 2,500 continuation bet from Gruissem.

On the 3? turn Douglas moved all in for 11,200. Gruissem made the call with a covering stack to put Douglas at risk.

Bruce Douglas: K?6?
Alexander Gruissem: Q?Q?

Gruissem was ahead with an overpair but still had to dodge some outs from Douglas in the form of any spade, two, seven or king. The 4? river was a brick and Douglas made his exit from the tournament area while Gruissem collected the last of his chips.

Tsokaridis Blown Away by Yotsushika

Level 9 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante
Kazuhiko Yotsushika
Kazuhiko Yotsushika

Following several preflop raises to create a pot of 29,000 to the J?10?5? flop, Paraskevas Tsokaridis checked and Kazuhiko Yotsushika bet 8,000. The check-raise to 55,000 by Tsokaridis followed, who kept around 6,000 behind. Once Yotsushika called, the Greek moved all-in in the dark by splashing in his remaining chips.

The 8? turn followed and Yotsushika called.

Paraskevas Tsokaridis: K?Q?
Kazuhiko Yotsushika: A?Q?

"Oh wow," Tsokaridis gasped and several other players at the table were also stunned. They witnessed a blank 5? river and Yotsushika knocked out another opponent with ace-queen high.

Kuhn Takes With a Raise

Level 9 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Robert Kuhn raised to 3,200 before Joel Lyttle called from the next seat over. Nohad Teliani tossed in the chips to call and action folded around to Lewis Spencer for a three-bet to 15,500 in the small blind. Kuhn looked down at his chips and shoved, pushing Lyttle and Teliani out of the hand before Spencer thought better of it and joined them in the muck.

Breton Earns More Chips With a Double Knockout

Level 9 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante
Frederic Breton
Frederic Breton

Two players had vaulted out of their chairs over on table one as Marcos Exterkotter and Yuzhou Yin were at risk of elimination. The dealer and other players were trying to grasp the outcome with all cards still tabled on a board of Q?10?4?Q?10?.

Exterkotter's 4?4? had flopped bottom set while Yin's K?K? were an overpair but both were out of luck and chips, as Frederic Breton had turned a flushdraw and then rivered a superior full house with the 10?9? to continue his rampage on Day 1b.

Shaun Deeb
Shaun Deeb

Joerg Schneegass opened to 2,300 from middle position and received a call from Shaun Deeb in the hijack. Alex Fortin-Demers then moved all in from middle position for 37,200. Schneegass made the call before Shaun Deeb moved all in, covering Schneegass who had roughly 100,000 behind. Schneegass made the call and was also at risk.

Alex Fortin-Demers: J?J?
Joerg Schneegass: A?A?
Shaun Deeb: 10?10?

All three players had a big pocket pair but Schneegass had the best of it with aces. Schneegass remained ahead on the Q?4?9?Q?K? runout to send Demers to the rail and make a serious dent in Deeb's stack.

"WolfgangPoker" Finds a Double

Level 9 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante
Alexander Seibt
Alexander Seibt

Alexander "WolfgangPoker" Seibt was all in for his last 32,300 and Eyal Revah was the one who had put him at risk. The cards were already turned up and Revah was wondering why the popular vlogger had his phone out.

Alexander Seibt: 5?5?
Eyal Revah: K?Q?

The board ran out 4?3?J?A?2? and Seibt doubled his chips. After the hand, Revah sought clarification on the rule about phones, but it appeared Seibt did nothing wrong by filming the runout when there was no pending action.
